We have steadily been building a creative community here at The Dispensary. We have illustrators, photographers, web designers, PR companies and brand strategists all under one roof. We are now looking to find more friends from Bristol and Bath in the creative industries. If you know a design studio or creative practice that would like to make a link with Radio then get in touch through our new website. Stronger links can only be a good thing that can lead to joint projects, networking, new ideas and shared experiences.
The Dispensary
Built in 1857, the Dispensary was the first building of its kind in England. The concept behind it was simple but ambitious for the time, to provide easily accessible, low cost health care on a large scale.
The building contained a physician, a surgeon and a dispensing chemist to fill prescriptions on the spot - very much a forerunner of the modern day health centre.
The building has been completely refurbished and our aim has been to create an environment that can be utilised and enjoyed inside and outside of working life.
Home to Radio plus a multitude of other creative and commercial businesses, the Dispensary, intact with its bar, cinema and library is an amazing building and a joy to be seen and experienced.
